Faded glory. Once upon a time this place was probably amazing. Today, only the front façade is beautiful. Take a walk around the building - both inside and out and you'll see that it is in need of numerous repairs. The carpets in the room and around the building are thread bare. Literally with holes, the curtains, too. Everything needs to be replaced. ||The service was not at all five-star. When we arrived at 1 am the gentleman working the reception seemed to be confused as to who we were and whether we had a reservation. The place is not big, I can't imagine he was waiting for numerous guests to check in that late/early. During check-in there was no mention of needing to make reservations for dining at the chateau. ||The next morning at breakfast we were greeting and welcomed to the chateau but, again, no mention of needing to make a reservation for lunch or dinner. ||When we went to the restaurant to eat, we were told there was no room and that we'd need a reservation. But we could order room service which had two mains - a ham and cheese sandwich and a pesto pasta dish. We ate these for three meals in a row because the hotel could not accommodate us in the restaurant. It was shocking! There were numerous ways to avoid this but the hotel did none of them - reach out to us prior to arrival to secure our booking, ask when we checked in, add a table to the dining area for guests of the hotel, open up the additional, unused dining area, book another restaurant and transportation for us, etc. How is it that a hotel cannot accommodate its guests for the meals? No matter how you see it, telling a guest that they can order room service for three meals in a row because you cannot accommodate them is not five-star service.||We were also incredibly disappointed in the bar. This is a hotel in the middle of the Loire Valley, how does this bar not have more selections for wine from the region? There were only 6-8 wines / sparkling to choose from. And we regularly had to chase down someone to help us in the bar. Again, hardly five-star service. ||We were booked into this hotel via a tour agency. Don't make the same mistake we did and just accept it. Ask your agency to find another place. ||And, finally, read through the other reviews of this hotel. Notice how the hotel responds to the negative reviews. That is a perfect indicator of the "five-star" service you'll receive.

Habitant la région, Nous sommes venus déjeuner au château d’Artigny que nous ne connaissions pas.
Nous avons eu un très bon accueil dans cet établissement, et nous avons beaucoup apprécié le menu qui était aussi créatif que bon.
Nous avons aussi apprécié les conseils d’un sommelier passionné, qui nous a permis de découvrir de quelques pépites.
Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Superbe château hôtel.
Le restaurant y est délicieux. La cuisine est raffinée et fine.
Petits déjeuner peuvent faire office de brunch. Jus d'orange pressé

L'espace-detente est cosy avec piscine chauffée 33°, un vrai moment de détente.

Endroit magnifique, petit déjeuner au top ! Le spa est sympa. Par contre la chambre est vieillissante, pas très propre de nombreuses toiles d’araignées , lit matelas qui a plus de 30 ans une vrai cuvette !!! Et ne parlons pas des cloisons toutes fines j’ai eu l’impression de participer à la nuit agitée des voisins

Un moment inoubliable, chambre au château très grande, salle de bain propre et spacieuse. Personnel disponible et très sympathique. |Le restaurant est magnifique, malgré l'incident en cuisine ce mercredi la direction a su réagir rapidement en nous offrant le repas. Un peu d'attente entre les plats ce qui fut compréhensible.|Des plats délicieux et pas congelés comme peuvent le dire certaines mauvaises langues.|Un petit déjeuner gargantuesque dans une salle royale.|Bref un excellent moment pour les amateurs de châteaux|Je recommande fortement cet établissement.

Chateau d’Artigny has seen better days. It is beautiful but VERY run down. The only remarkable thing is the flower arrangements. |The suite was at the limit of cleanliness and we were COLD! Only one radiator was working and we had to ask for an extra heater that turned off when we put the lights down. |In our bathroom the hot water was just a fickle and in the adjacent room, the shower was clogged. |We signaled it to the front desk and they did NOTHING. |The front desk staff was always aloof and and claimed they were unaware of our demands. |The hotel is in urgent need of a renovation.

A huge disappointment! Other than the exterior, which is impressive, the whole hotel is shabby: chipped and peeling paint, elderly furniture and matress etc etc. We stayed here on our honeymoon in 1975 so what an awful experience. Food was okay, but just! Some of the staff was very nice and some a bit surly. We wre told that the hotel will close in the fall for a complete renovation.Not before time!!!

Nous sommes 10 personnes à avoir fêté un anniversaire autour d'une jolie table ronde, dans un cadre somptueux. Déjeuner excellent, rapport qualité prix au top. Nous sommes 10 à être ravis, souvenir inoubliable : le service, les mets, la vue, tout était parfait. Merci
